A silky jolt

Sun & Soil Juice Company is beloved for its cold-pressed raw juices and inventive smoothies but they also do warm. On a recent trip I wanted a caffeine boost, so the staff suggested its coconut latte ($2.50) off the “secret menu.” It’s simple: pour-over black coffee with a tablespoon of coconut oil (which supposedly has antibacterial properties) and splash or two of date water.
