A half-dozen workers are on a crew building a pond and adding landscaping on a strip of land between the Victorian Avenue of Sparks and the westbound ramp onto Interstate 80 at Pyramid Way. The purpose of the pond is to drain water from the ramp’s surface and that stretch of the freeway when it’s raining to reduce the danger to drivers.
