CN&R’s guide to the 2018 primary election

Forums have been held, lawn signs have been staked, mailboxes have been stuffed with campaign fliers. Yes, election season is upon us. And, as usual, there are so many races to consider—from governor of California to superintendent of public instruction—that we don’t have the space for a deep dive into each one. So, we decided to focus on those closest to home: the local U.S. congressional district, Butte County Board of Supervisors, county auditor/controller and county assessor.

The primary election is Tuesday, June 5. Whether you show up in person or mail in your ballot, we urge each and every one of you to vote. If you are unsure of your polling place or would like to learn more about the candidates for all races, go to clerk-recorder.buttecounty.net and search for your registration status or continue to the elections main page.
