Vision earns award nomination

New Urban Builders has been named as a finalist for a national award honoring companies that have applied innovative technologies to their everyday business practices.

The Chico construction firm is among 37 companies nominated by Constructech Magazine for its 2007 Vision Award. The winners of the award will be announced in August at a ceremony in Illinois. According to Dave Wallace, NUB’s vice president of construction and development, electronic construction scheduling that resulted in significantly faster home-building cycles is what earned the attention of the magazine.

New Urban Builders developed the Doe Mill Neighborhood, the nearly complete community east of Bruce Road. The firm is preparing for another development, also located in south Chico, and has recently opened models at its second local housing project along Highway 32, on the west side of town.
