Stop snoring!

Tips to reduce snoring

Tired of being kept awake half the night by the person snoring next to you? WebMD.com has a few remedies for those with that pesky affliction, including:

Sleep on your side: “Lying on your back makes the base of your tongue and soft palate collapse to the back wall of your throat, causing a vibrating sound during sleep.”

Avoid alcohol and sleeping pills: Both “reduce the resting tone of the muscles in the back of your throat, making it more likely you’ll snore.”

Replace your pillow every six months: Dust mites can accumulate in pillows, resulting in allergic reactions that cause snoring.
