School house rock

The Chico Unified School District hasn’t closed a school since 1989 (it was Oakdale, now the Fairview/CAL campus). In fact, it’s been building new schools. But an enrollment decline and a tight budget have gotten a School Board-appointed committee assigned with the task of recommending whether to close elementary schools, and if so, which ones. Here’s a list of when the existing schools were built and added on to.
