The Rev. David Moss of Trinity United Methodist Church of Chico addressed about 40 people gathered in Chico’s Children’s Park Sept. 24 in conjunction with a nationwide demonstration against the war in Iraq. Moss decried “the tyranny of the few which breeds terrorists the same way swamps breed mosquitoes.” Following about a half hour of speakers, many walked to the corner of Third and Main streets to join the regular participants at the Saturday peace vigil.
