Festival moves, improves

Chapman market has later hours and new location

The Chapman Food and Fitness Festival near Chapman Elementary School has new, extended summer hours and a new location.

Part farmers market, part crafts fair and part health-education fair, the festival began in early October and now takes place at 1010 Cleveland Ave.—just a few steps from the old location.

Head to the nonprofit market between 5-8 p.m. Fridays to pick up fresh, locally grown produce, local artisans’ wares and information on living a healthy lifestyle.

Organized by local healthful food and nutrition advocate Richard Roth (pictured), CFFF is one of only a few markets north of Sacramento that accepts EBT (food stamps) as payment.

The event is also a place where local gardeners can trade their excess of fruit and veggies for other produce. Look for the swap table. For more information about the festival, visit www.cchaos.org.
