Donor drops dough on museum

The Gateway Science Museum at Chico State was recently gifted $25,000 by an anonymous donor to start an endowment fund to help support the museum’s traveling and permanent exhibits, according to a Chico State press release. The museum has also started a fundraising drive that has a long-term goal of building the fund to $5 million.

Chico State’s Advancement Office started a dollar-for-dollar telephone fundraising drive in early May, contacting local alumni for donations, to initially build the fund to $50,000. To contribute to the Gateway Science Museum Endowment Fund, send checks made out to “CSU, Chico University Foundation, GSM Endowment Fund #08590” to the university’s Advancement Office, CSU, Chico, 400 W. First St. Chico, CA 95929 (Attn.: Daria Booth).
