Certify your habitat!

National Wildlife Federation encourages creation of Certified Wildlife Habitat

Wildlife needs four basic things to survive and thrive: food, water, cover and places to raise babies. Fittingly, the National Wildlife Federation will recognize any site—a backyard, a school garden, a local park, a rooftop garden and so on—meeting these four requirements as a Certified Wildlife Habitat. Perks—besides the satisfaction of doing the right thing and getting to observe wildlife up close—include a free one-year NWF membership and inclusion in NWF’s National Registry of Habitats.
