Carlos arrives with Angels …

Don Carlos Reggae Angels

Don Carlos, singer and founder of legendary band Black Uhuru, performs in Chico, Saturday, Nov. 10. Carlos, with Rudolph Dennis and Derrick “Duckie” Simpson, formed Black Uhuru in 1974, leaving after only one recorded single with the group to pursue a solo career. He’s been putting out solo albums ever since, gradually luring an entire new generation of fans in with his sweet, mesmerizing voice. Opening the evening will be the 12-piece, San Franciscan band, Reggae Angels. Carlos and Reggae Angels will be playing at the Senator Theater, 517 Main St., in downtown Chico. Tickets are only $10. Show begins at 9 p.m.
