Breath of fresh Smog …

Smog, Neil Michael Hagerty, Moxie’s Café & Gallery, Saturday, Oct. 20 • 7:30 p.m.

Pictured is Bill “Smog” Callahan. He leads the edgy, indie “folk-pop” band Smog, and its sound has been described as isolated, modern folk that casts a decidedly honest eye on relationships, society and so on. Smog is promoting its recent release on Drag City, Rain On Lens. Due to a cancellation in L.A., Smog and fellow indie songwriter, label-mate and “spacey” guitarist Neil Michael Hagerty will be appearing at Moxie’s at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20. The all ages show only costs $8, and also features local bands Royal Crown and Arnica Sync. It all happens at Moxie’s, 128 Broadway. Info: 345-0801.
