Call her Buzz Lightyear

There’s a new dental office in town, and it might just park at a school near you. Glenda Bratton was recently hired to run the new mobile dental unit overseen by Northern Valley Indian Health and paid for through a $375,000 grant from the First 5 Commission offices in Butte, Glenn and Tehama counties. Here, Bratton shows off a nifty X-ray gun inside one of two exam rooms inside the mobile unit. Bratton, who worked as a dental assistant at her husband’s dental practice in Willows, also is a licensed school bus driver, so she’ll drive the unit and offer dental services. The goal of the project is to offer dental care and education to children newborn to age 5 who might not get it otherwise.
