Blair on the air

Chico’s lovable weatherman Rob Blair is now hosting a radio program

Chico’s favorite weatherman has headed back to his radio roots.

On Monday (March 21), Rob Blair (pictured) started deejaying on 107.5 FM. His new gig from 2-7 p.m. weekdays helps kick off a new identity of what was formerly The Point. The station transitioned to a Top 40 format this week, adopted its new moniker, Now, and is home to the syndicated American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest.

Blair has radio experience going all the way back to his teenage years. At 14 he interned at a Top 40 station in Indianapolis, Ind., where he took a job as the night-time personality during his senior year of high school. He jumped from radio to television in college, starting out as a weekend weather anchor in Palm Springs.

Don’t worry, though, Blair isn’t leaving his post on Action News’ Wake Up! program. He’s simply going to be pulling double duty.
