A Hamilton City man already facing charges of burglary, identity theft and computer hacking is facing 33 new counts related to sexual assaults against two women.

Daniel Deluna Martinez, 27, allegedly assaulted two women in multiple locations and faces numerous charges related to sodomy, rape, digital penetration and oral copulation, often while the women were unconscious, according to a press release from the Butte County District Attorney's Office. He also faces one count of possession of more than 600 images of child pornography. Martinez (pictured), was arraigned on Aug. 14 and now faces a possible sentence of life in prison. His bail has been set at more than $2 million.

The investigation was launched in June 2014 by the University Police Department. “Volumes” of homemade videos were subsequently discovered on his computers and he was arrested on March 17. Martinez has since remained in Butte County Jail.
