What—no Lili Von Shtupp?

Sourdough Slim, who may not be ready to rock but will rope your steer.

Here’s one that’s totally mystifying. “A Winter’s Night Yeow” is a revue starring three acts based in the Sierra foothills: Doodoo Wah, a “politically incorrect” duo whose songs have been covered by Ray Stevens and Pinkard & Bowden; Sourdough Slim, an award-winning yodeler whose music comes from the Western cowboy tradition; and the Faux Renwahs, a trio of old-timey music enthusiasts. The “Yeow,” which sounds vaguely like something an irritable feline might come up with, is actually a vaudeville-styled performance with a studied-rustic bent. It’s making the rounds in this part of California and hits the Crest Theatre, 1013 K Street, this Saturday, December 27, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $17 in advance and $20 at the door.
