Electric vehicles are finally evolving from science fiction to reality. Although electric-fuel hybrid automobiles have flourished on highways, one major barrier has halted the all-electric car progression: Where would they juice? This month, DMC Green Inc. opened an electric charging station in West Sacramento, the first of 40 charging stations scheduled for installation in California. The station, located at 705 Harbor Pointe Place, also offers E85 ethanol and biodiesel as well. Perhaps gas-only stations are finally going the way of the dinosaurs.
