Maria Winkler has been professing art at Sacramento State since 1977, and her résumé boasts that her paintings of tranquil landscapes are part of several area medical centers’ collections. For her show, Water & Ice, 20 percent of proceeds go to Sierra Forever Families, a regional adoption agency. How nice. The exhibition lasts through Thursday, December 17, with a reception on Wednesday, November 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sacramento State’s University Union Gallery, 6000 J Street.
