War of words

I must, I must, I must increase my lexicon.

I must, I must, I must increase my lexicon.

Every word counts when you’re playing Scrabble! Just ask Mary Godfrey, the woman responsible for organizing the Sacramento Scrabble Club. The group meets the first and third Wednesday of every month at the Denny’s located at 3520 Auburn Boulevard. The next meeting is this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., which gives you just under a week to brush up on the English language. May I suggest that you study up on the usage of the letter Q? According to one Scrabble Web site, it’s the most difficult letter to play. The club will provide Scrabble boards, so all you have to do is show up. Word enthusiasts of all ages are invited to play for free. Now, before you sit down to play, let me give you a word of advice: Winning isn’t everything! Heck, as long as you’re having fun, that’s all that matters. Interested in finding out more about the Sacramento Scrabble Club? Call Godfrey at (916) 344-5606.
