Californians' brains have been waterlogged lately, not just because we're running out of water, but also with the fear that we may actually have too much, with predictions of potential epic flooding with the failure of Sacramento's levees and prolific El Niño rainstorms this winter. What appropriate timing, then, that Geoff Fricker is showing his black-and-white photographs of previous floods in the region. The photos, which will be on the walls at Viewpoint Photographic Art Center this month, are bound in a book titled Sacrament: Homage to a River. Fingers crossed this winter doesn't provide him an overflowed landscape for a sequel.
