If You Do Me, I'll Do You. It's like the Secret Santa gift exchange of fine art within a group of artists, where each individual randomly selects another artist and creates a portrait of him or her—and everybody gets to see the gift. This is WAL Public Market's second exhibition, and 23 artists participated, including some residents of the Warehouse Artist Lofts, a.k.a. WAL. So, who did Gale Hart do a portrait of? Did she give Doug Biggert Mickey Mouse ears? Did Jose Di Gregorio make a cosmos-inspired linear portrait of Gioia Fonda's face? The show opens on August 6, if you can't wait to see the results.
