The Fast and the Furious

Rated 3.0 Finally, someone makes a decent fast-car movie. Vin Diesel stars as the leader of a car racing posse that stages illegal races in the streets of L.A., and he is the epitome of cool. While nobody will applaud this film for its brainpower and sometimes-maudlin screenplay, it is a blast on the visual and audio side, and quite capable of raising the hairs on your neck. The movie is a complete rip-off of Point Break, but its unoriginality is forgivable. After drivel like Gone in 60 Seconds and Driven, director Rob Cohen has momentarily saved the fast-car movie genre.
