Though their stage name conjures up Eastern European origins, the Raspyni Brothers—internationally acclaimed comedic jugglers—are actually two Northern California natives. Dan Holzman and Barry Freidman have been performing together since the early ’80s and along the way they’ve racked up some impressive credentials—two-time team champions at the International Jugglers’ Association competitions, showcases for heads of state and over 100 national television appearances, including a performance at the Academy Awards. In their most curious gig, they helped to relieve some tension by performing for the sequestered jury at the O.J. Simpson trial. The Raspyni Brothers will perform at Grass Valley’s Center for the Arts, 8 p.m. Saturday; reserved seats are $18. The Center for the Arts is located at 314 West Main Street in Grass Valley. For more information, or to reserve tickets, call (530) 274-8384, ext. 14, or visit them online at www.centerforthearts.org.
