Rush Hour 2

Rated 2.0 Chris Tucker is not funny, and Jackie Chan is given little to do in this sequel to what was a lousy film to begin with. Tucker does a lot of his trademark squealing, as Chan just stands around looking stupid. The film has a bountiful supply of racist jokes and innuendos and not enough sequences for Chan to show off his stuff. Zhang Ziyi of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon offers her very welcomed presence in a small role as a mysterious henchman, and she’s pretty much wasted in the movie. If Tucker’s irritating rants are a thing of beauty to you, by all means, don’t miss this one. If he makes you want to pull a Van Gogh on your ears, you’d better stay far away.
