Vast amounts of talent from the likes of Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt and the somewhat frightening Haley Joel Osment are wasted in this pappy, manipulative, evil little movie. Spacey plays a schoolteacher who implores his new class to make the world a better place. Osment plays a student who takes the assignment seriously and comes up with the good deed system highlighted in the movie’s title. Just a lame rehash of so many dreary domestic dramas, equipped with a Hollywood ending that is embarrassing in its lameness. Osment needs to be steered towards more lighthearted fare. Hated this movie!
