Don't be surprised if you are surprised by the loveliness of the Woodlake neighborhood in north Sacramento. It's bordered by Highway 160 and Arden Way, and a canopy of stately trees ensconce the homes here, many built around the 1930s and '40s with an English-cottage influence. Also residing in the shade of the mature canopy is a collection of artists, and while it has not been verified whether these particular residents were created in the 1930s and '40s as well, that is of little consequence. However, they have banded together to show their artwork in The Woodlake Artists' Colony—Spring 2015 exhibition at Gallery 2110, which has newly relocated from Midtown to Woodlake's Del Paso Boulevard border. A lovely concept.
