Live and dine in L.A.

I didn’t shadow Pulitzer winner Jonathan Gold or anything during my weekend in Los Angeles. I did, however, enjoy a fast-food Peruvian joint in Burbank, Choza Mama, which dishes a pretty solid interpretation of Peru’s “chifa” street eats, including a zesty saltado with french fries, washed down with Inca Kola (Peru’s Mountain Dew) to boot. Another L.A. plus: breakfast-burrito abundance, like the tasty, loglike desayuno heaven at Corner Cottage near the airport. Escape from L.A.—with a yummy tummy.
