Into the Arms of Strangers

Rated 5.0

In this year’s Oscar-winning documentary, writer/director Mark Jonathan Harris chronicles the Kindertransport, a British program that allowed 10,000 Jewish children to escape the Nazis. This film is at once a stirring salute to British decency and a blood-curdling insight into the bottomless evil of Nazi Germany. With archival films and photos, interviews with many of the former children and the dignified narration of Judi Dench, the film is a great human document, deeply moving, unforgettable.
