In (and out) like Flynn

Rumor has it that actor Errol Flynn was kicked out of Hearst Castle after less than six hours on the property. Apparently, Mr. Hearst wasn’t too keen on overindulgence, while Mr. Flynn was known for partaking in too much booze and sex (sometimes with ladies far too young—hence the expression “in like Flynn”). Despite his off-screen antics, Flynn was one of the highest-grossing actors of his era. He starred in more than 50 films, including the Oscar-nominated swashbuckling adventure The Sea Hawk. See the film when it screens this Saturday at the Auburn Library (350 Nevada Street in Auburn). The movie will be shown in the Beecher Room at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for general admission, and $4 for children and seniors.
