Hollow Man

Rated 3.0 As far as invisible-man films go, you could do a lot worse (have you ever seen that Chevy Chase film?). Sicko director Paul Verhoeven (Starship Troopers, Showgirls) directs Kevin Bacon as a scientist who goes transparent and immediately starts looking up women’s skirts. The downfall of Bacon’s character is too rapid, but this movie looks great. High points include an invisible gorilla reappearing layer-by-layer and an invisible Bacon tangling with William Devane in a swimming pool. I expected more from Verhoeven, but still found myself enjoying it.
