Through Tuesday, September 30 Old Ironsides' vintage show posters
With the music industry having changed so much over the years—music distribution shifting from vinyl, CD and tape to digital; jukeboxes making way for iPods—few relics of “the old days” have survived the times as well as show posters. They're still useful affixed to a music venue's doorway and posted on a band's Facebook page. For the rest of the month, people can help Old Ironsides celebrate its 80th anniversary by viewing a bunch of past show posters highlighting bands that have played the venue. Lament the gig you missed (Death Cab for Cutie or the New Pornographers, anyone?) or better: Visit Old I's website for upcoming gigs that'll also help it celebrate the big 8-0. 1901 10th Street, www.theoldironsides.com.
