Outdoor summer concerts in Sacramento are like Shutter Shades on teenagers: They pop up everywhere. You may be drinking a hot cup of Columbian dark roast and reading The New York Times as you round a corner and wham!—neon-pink shades have you spilling coffee down your suit. But unlike those damn sunglasses, outdoor summer concerts are a fad for everyone of every style persuasion. So, pack a picnic, throw on some sunscreen and get yourself to the next outdoor concert.

Endfest: Check out the All-American Rejects, Lady Gaga, Flo Rida, the White Tie Affair and 3oh!3. Sunday, May 10 at 4 p.m. Tickets are $20-$39.50 at www.livenation.com. Raley Field, 400 Ballpark Drive in West Sacramento.

Pops in the Park: The only one place this summer to get healthy dose of music, sun and bicycle valet parking. Every Saturday in June beginning at 6 p.m. Free. Different parks host each week; visit www.eastsacpopsinthepark.com for more information.

Twilight Concert Series: Featuring music from around the world. Every other Wednesday, June 10 through August 19. $10 general admission, but free for children 12 and younger. Concerts in the Park: Featuring musicians such as Two Sheds, Pets, Middle Class Rut, Kate Gaffney and more. Every Friday though August 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. Free. Cesar Chavez Plaza, 10th and J streets.

Third Thursday Jazz: Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and relax to different types of jazz, including R&B, smooth, Latin rhythms and funk. Every third Thursday, May through September, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Free for Crocker members and $10 for nonmembers. Crocker Art Museum, 216 O Street; www.crockerartmuseum.org.

SN&R Music Fest: Yes, even SN&R caught the summer concert bug. Featuring a local lineup of artists and a cheap beer garden. Saturday, June 27, at 3 p.m. Free. Cesar Chavez Plaza, 10th and J streets.
