It has been a great summer for the rock band Filligar: Taco Bell just named them a Feed the Beat artist for 2013; it released a new record, Hexagon, in July; and the album has received rave reviews from Paste and American Songwriter. Not bad for a band that has been building up its fan base at a glacial pace for more than a decade and has made a living modernizing 1970s-era classic rock. “Robbery (Shocking Love)” from its 2010 release, The Nerve, features chunky guitar riffs and a slow-building rhythm that gets you rocking along, and “Health” shows the band's propensity for making great jams.
