Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, The

Rated 1.0 I don’t hate this one as much as the first Flintstones movie, but I hate it all the same. Mark Addy is a semi-decent Fred, and Stephen Baldwin is actually not horrible as Barney, but the film is plagued by the sloppy touch of director Brian Levant, responsible for such winners as the first Flintstones movie and Problem Child. The movie is a prequel, showing how Fred and Barney meet future wives Wilma and Betty, and nothing could possibly make me care less. Alan Cumming plays the Great Gazoo, the green alien from the cartoon that looks disturbing and scary in live-action form. It’s a mess. Nothing to see here, people, so just move along.
