Sage always had performing flair, acting in high school before ditching that to pursue music full-time. He made noise from the jump, scoring a viral hit on MySpace at age 16 with “You Should Know,” which logged more than three million views. He kicked around and hooked up with the HBK Gang, and then burst out last year with singles “Red Nose” and “Gas Pedal,” complete with their own dances. That was enough to earn the 22-year-old from Fairfield a deal from Republic Records, which released his April full-length debut Remember Me.
