Eight Gigs: Razorblade Monalisa

“The beasts will rise and the dead will walk,” says local four-piece Razorblade Monalisa on the track “Only the End of the World Again.” Is it any wonder why the group refers to itself as “sci-fi rock?” Musically, the band creates a post-punk sound in the vein of Joy Division meets Siouxsie & the Banshees, though it’s darker and more amped up.
