Eight Gigs: RAD

Fri., Nov. 4, 8 p.m., Cafe Colonial, $8

3521 Stockton Boulevard, www.facebook.com/RAD.Sacto.

Sacramento’s hardcore RAD manages to capture lightning in bottle with its high-energy and aggressive music led by the quick and edgy vocals of Lori Gil, who’s backed by Charles Albright (guitar), Craig Hancock (drums) and Anthony Lew (bass). Songs like “Corporate Drugs” hit hard and fast in under 50 seconds. For RAD, that’s all a song needs. Enemy Fire will also perform its ’70s-style Oi! punk and includes members of Dcoi! and Bastards of Young. Also joining the bill for this throwback night of hardcore and punk-rock music is Cross Class and It’s Casual from southern California.
