Eight Gigs: Ape Machine

Guitar-heavy power quartet Ape Machine rocks the stage with songs full of serious shredding. Its use of tube amps creates guitar tones as warm and rich as butter, instead of the metallic sounds one expects in modern hard rock. In fact, Ape Machine sounds like it time traveled from the ’70s and is here to show us EDM-drenched people how to truly kick ass. The bass and drums keep a steady, forceful beat, while the lead guitarist riffs up and down the scales. Vocalist Caleb Heinze turns up the heat with his Zeppelin-esque sensibility. This will no doubt be an explosive live performance.
