There’s a futuristic glisten to his production that suggests dance utopias running counter to reports on the daily news. Moon Boots doesn’t trouble his listeners with too much darkness. It channels the optimism and pure expression of ’80s boogie and renders it anew for a modern bright side. His music focuses on the neon lights rather than the dark space between those lasers on the dance floor.
