Eight Gigs: Lukas Nelson

Fri., April 10, 8 p.m., Harris Center, $20-$38

This year is shaping up to be a favorable one for Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real. Willie Nelson's guitar-slinging son has grown as a live performer with a reputation for putting on a high-energy show. He and his brother Micah started off the year recording with Neil Young after the three bonded at a Keystone Pipeline protest event. Now, he comes to Folsom for the second time in just eight months. Last year, he electrified the crowd at Folsom Live with his music and athletic stage antics. Nelson, whose voice is unmistakably reminiscent of his father's, is also an excellent songwriter and blues-style guitarist. 10 College Parkway in Folsom, www.promiseofthereal.com.
