Destiny in Space

Rated 3.0

This 1994 IMAX snapshot of man’s tinkering in space takes us on the mission that released the Hubble Space Telescope into orbit and to a fly-over of Mars and Venus. The camera slides into the cramped quarters of the space shuttle as astronauts conduct scientific research in a state of weightlessness, and outside their craft for Hubble repair work. Scenes of the shuttle in orbit over earth are breathtaking, but overall this presentation from Lockheed Corporation and the National Air and Space Museum is more clinical than invigorating.
