Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles

Subaru pitchman Paul Hogan may have another comic Mick Dundee adventure in him, but he should have slipped the script for this lukewarm culture-clash onto the barbie. The famed reptile wrangler is living in Walkabout, Australia, with his girlfriend (Hogan’s real-life wife Linda Kozlowski) and 9-year-old son (Serge Cockburn) when she is asked by her newspaper publisher father to fill a vacancy at his L.A. bureau. Mick tags along, once again explores urban America and helps in a lame investigation of a shady studio executive. The amiable, self-effacing Dundee and his audience deserve better.
