Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen

Rated 2.0 Freaky Friday’s Lindsay Lohan stars as a maverick Manhattan teen who moves to the New Jersey suburbs with her divorced mom (Glenne Headly) and wants to make a huge social splash at her new high school. She makes friends with a school-clique outsider and begins a rivalry with the self-appointed campus queen (Megan Fox) in an innocuous sequence that feels like watered-down Lizzie McGuire episodes. Subplots involve the casting for a modernized musical version of Pygmalion and the farewell concert and after-party of a popular rock band, as themes about honesty, loyalty, individuality and alcohol abuse are squeezed between streaming displays of modern wardrobe fashions. Directed by Sara Sugarman.
