Students of prefabricated pop culture who are curious as to what weird turn Justin Timberlake’s (or, more appropriately, Chris Kirkpatrick’s or Joey Fatone’s) life might take would do well to hit the Boardwalk in Orangevale this Friday, September 27, when Shoe Suede Blues takes the stage. The band, ostensibly a blues combo, features Peter Tork of the Monkees, NBC’s bid to cash in on the Beatles’ fame back in the 1960s. It sounds at least as interesting as anything featuring a Baldwin brother or Russell Crowe. Perhaps more. Doors open at 9 p.m., and the cover’s $12-$15 for this all-ages show. The address is 9426 Greenback Lane. Oh, and Victory Gin, Everyday Joe and Pyronauts are also on the bill.
