A Knight’s Tale

Rated 4.0 Medieval jousting gets the big movie treatment in this rousing entertainment from director Brian Helgeland. Heath Ledger stars as William, a knight’s servant who must enter the jousting arena after his boss dies on a riverbank. The jousting matches are extremely well done. Every moment a joust hits armor, you suspect a body part is very close to flying off. Helgeland smartly employs the use of modern music from the likes of Queen and David Bowie, and actually allows the music to become part of the action at times. A fun movie that relies heavily on basic blood-and-guts filmmaking instead of computers and techies.
