13 Ghosts

Rated 2.0 This haunted house story uses a jolting soundtrack and graphic makeup to stack a few good scares, but it’s just too stupid to earn good movie status. An eccentric millionaire (F. Murray Abraham) leaves his outrageous glass house to a relative (Tony Shalhoub), who takes his family on a trip to check out the digs. Within the house are numerous ghosts looking to perform various violent acts on trespassers, and some of them are fun to behold. Like the Snoop Dogg pic Bones, this one loses it in the ending, although Bones doesn’t destroy itself like this one does. No more haunted house movies for the next few years, please.
