Next Day Air

Rated 2.0

A delivery man (Donald Faison of TV’s Scrubs) delivers a package of coke bricks to the wrong apartment, and all hell breaks lose. Costarring Mos Def and Mike Epps, the film tries to balance comedy with ultra violent thriller stuff, and it doesn’t work on any level. The writing doesn’t provide nearly enough laughter, and the massive violence seems out of place. It’s a discombobulated movie experience that feels unworthy of theatrical release. If this showed up as a straight-to-cable thing on a Saturday night, it might make for some passable material for dozing off. As it stands, it’s an unfunny, super violent bore.
