Welcome to this week’s Reno Newsletter and Review. (Don’t worry, I won’t do that again.)Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and now our inaugural weekly newsletter. It’s all about communication people. Our theory is if this newspaper communicates with you on a person-to-person basis, you’re going to communicate back with us. That means story suggestions, bitches and complaints, the occasional pat on the back. The whole idea is with dialogue you can help us make an independent newspaper that’s relevant to your lives, explores the things you want to know about, helps you participate in the community, and offers insight into news, arts, politics and entertainment. This week on the cover of the newsprint Reno News & Review, we talked to local people about the swine flu. We called it “Days of Swine and Noses.” If you’re already suffering from swine flu fatigue, you might check out the Jelly Bread band profile or this review of an old favorite steakhouse, the Washoe Grill. As always, feel free to drop me a line at brianb@newsreview.com.D.
