Jimmy Eat World vocalist Jim Adkins kicked off the band’s BMU show last weekend with several well-received midtempo rock ballads before finally heating things up with more energetic numbers—beginning with “The Middle,” which for some reason sent the young crowd into a moshing frenzy.
