Restored by Recology

Generous donation from Recology is Chico’s first

Recology, formerly Norcal Waste Systems, recently helped to restore its first building in Chico, according to a Butte County Sheriff’s Office press release.

About 25 Recology Butte-Colusa Counties employees and a member of the Sheriff’s Team of Active Retired Seniors volunteered their time, using more than 40 gallons of recycled paint, to restore the sheriff’s Chico substation on East Park Avenue and a large metal sign on a nearby Highway 99 ramp that reads “Butte County Sheriff.”

Recology has donated its labor and materials to a variety of worthy causes throughout Butte and Colusa Counties since it took on its “Waste Zero” mission earlier this year. However, this is the first building Recology has helped to restore in Chico, according to the press release.
